2. Engagement and Payment

Pricing and Payment Terms:

All pricing is provided in advance and may be found on our website, in written proposals, or via email confirmation. Payment is due at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept payment via credit card, ACH, or other methods as specified during booking.

Packages and Programs:

Many of our services are delivered as multi-session packages or programs. These are priced as complete engagements, not on a per-hour basis. If you require additional time or services beyond what is included in your package, additional fees will apply at our then-current rates (currently $290/hour for ad-hoc work).

Invoices and Receipts:

You will receive confirmation of payment via email. If you require additional documentation for expense reimbursement or tax purposes, please contact us.

3. Use of AI and Research Tools

The Redick Group uses AI-assisted tools—including Perplexity (SOC 2 compliant), Claude, Gemini, and other models as appropriate—to support research, drafting, pattern recognition, and document development. These tools help us work efficiently and deliver higher-quality outcomes.

Your personal information and materials remain confidential and are handled according to the privacy standards of each platform. We do not share your proprietary information with third parties except as necessary to deliver services (e.g., scheduling platforms, payment processors).

By engaging our services, you consent to the use of these tools as part of our process.

4. Payment, Attendance, Rescheduling, and Cancellations

Our Time is Valuable and Compensable:

Our work and services are custom. You acknowledge that our time spent reviewing your materials, preparing for and conducting sessions, researching and writing documents, and providing all other services is valuable and compensable. You further acknowledge that time reserved for you—which includes time unavailable to other clients—is valuable and compensable.

Attendance Expectations:

You agree to be prepared and on time for your appointments. Treating scheduled time as a professional commitment ensures we can make meaningful progress together. If you are late, your appointment time is not extended; the missed portion is considered completed in full.

Rescheduling:

You can reschedule appointments using our online scheduling system. If you must reschedule, please provide at least 72 hours' notice whenever possible. Repeated rescheduling with insufficient notice disrupts our ability to serve other clients and may result in additional requirements (see below).

No-Shows and Repeated Cancellations:

If you no-show an appointment, it is considered completed in full with no refund. If you repeatedly cancel or reschedule appointments with insufficient notice, The Redick Group may require you to pay a Reservation Deposit of $325 prior to scheduling future appointments. This deposit is refundable only if you are prepared and on time for the related appointment; otherwise, it is nonrefundable.

If you refuse to pay the Reservation Deposit, The Redick Group will consider your refusal to be client delay or failure to provide information, and may pause or terminate services until payment is received.

Refunds or credits toward other services are at the sole discretion of Jared Redick, except as may be required by law.

5. Refund, Rescheduling, and Cancellation Policies

For Packages and Programs:

Payments and purchases—including your initial engagement payment—are not refundable or cancellable. Refunds or credits toward other services are at the sole discretion of Jared Redick, except as may be required by law.

If you require additional appointment time or work time—whether due to missed appointments, failure to prepare for appointments, failure to complete assigned work, failure to provide requested information, or otherwise—The Redick Group may require you to pay additional fees to complete your project.

You agree that, if our pricing or fee schedules are rejected by a court of law, such time is alternatively compensable at the rate of US$290 per hour, with a minimum charge of US$290. Such time will further be rounded up to the nearest minute.

If you must reschedule an appointment, you agree to provide reasonable notice. If you repeatedly reschedule appointments or fail to provide reasonable notice, The Redick Group may require you to pay a Reservation Deposit as described above. Alternatively, The Redick Group may consider the appointment completed in full.

For On-Demand Services:

Generally, you can use our online scheduling system to reschedule or cancel your on-demand appointments.

Rescheduling: Please provide at least 72 hours' notice whenever possible to allow other clients access to that time.

Cancellations: If you choose to cancel rather than reschedule, refunds are at the sole discretion of The Redick Group and will depend on the amount of notice provided. Cancellations with less than 72 hours' notice are typically not refundable.

Late arrivals: If you are late for your appointment, your time is not extended. The missed portion of your appointment is considered satisfied and completed in full.

No-shows: If you no-show your appointment, you will receive no refund and The Redick Group will consider the appointment/service satisfied and completed in full.

Repeated cancellations or rescheduling: If you repeatedly cancel or reschedule appointments with insufficient notice, The Redick Group may require you to pay a Reservation Deposit (equal to the cost of the service) prior to scheduling future appointments. This deposit is refundable only if you are prepared and on time for the related appointment; otherwise, it is nonrefundable.

6. Client Responsibilities

To ensure we can deliver high-quality services, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate, complete, and timely information as requested

  • Review materials and provide feedback within agreed-upon timeframes

  • Attend scheduled sessions prepared and on time

  • Communicate openly about your goals, constraints, and concerns

  • Notify us promptly if your needs or circumstances change

Delays in providing information or feedback may extend project timelines. If delays exceed 60 days, The Redick Group reserves the right to consider the project complete as-is, with no refund.

7. Confidentiality and Privacy

Our Commitment:

We treat all client information as confidential. We will not share your personal information, materials, or the fact of our engagement with third parties without your consent, except as required by law or as necessary to deliver services (e.g., payment processing, scheduling platforms).

Your Commitment:

You agree not to disclose proprietary methods, tools, frameworks, or materials provided by The Redick Group without prior written consent. This includes but is not limited to the Job Description Analysis (JDA) methodology, Live Build Session framework, templates, and other intellectual property.

Limits of Confidentiality:

We are not attorneys and do not provide legal advice. Communications with us are not protected by attorney-client privilege. If you share information that suggests imminent harm to yourself or others, or illegal activity, we may be required to report it to appropriate authorities.

8. Intellectual Property

Your Materials:

You retain all rights to the materials you provide to us (résumés, work history, career narratives, company information, etc.). By engaging our services, you grant us a limited license to use, edit, and incorporate your materials into deliverables created for you.

Our Work Product:

All documents, frameworks, and materials we create for you as part of our engagement are licensed to you for your personal or professional use (or for your organization's use, if applicable). You may not resell, republish, or distribute our work product to third parties without prior written consent.

Methodologies and Frameworks:

Our proprietary methodologies (including the Job Description Analysis and Live Build Session framework) remain our intellectual property. You may not teach, license, or commercialize these methods without a separate licensing agreement.

9. Testimonials and Case Studies

We may request permission to use your feedback, results, or anonymized case study details in our marketing materials. You are under no obligation to provide a testimonial or case study.

If you do provide a testimonial or agree to a case study, you grant us permission to use your name, title, company, and feedback in our marketing materials unless you specifically request anonymity.

You may revoke permission at any time by contacting us in writing, and we will remove your testimonial or case study within 30 days.

10. Limitation of Liability

No Guarantees:

We provide strategic guidance, narrative development, and brand positioning services. We do not and cannot guarantee specific outcomes, including but not limited to:

  • Job offers or interview invitations

  • Salary increases or promotions

  • Acceptance into academic programs

  • Board appointments or other opportunities

  • Client acquisition or revenue growth for professional services firms

Your success depends on many factors outside our control, including market conditions, organizational fit, timing, and your own execution.

Liability Cap:

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the amount you paid us for those services.

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to lost income, lost opportunities, or emotional distress.

11. Termination

By You:

You may terminate services at any time by providing written notice. However, payments made for packages, programs, or completed services are non-refundable.

By Us:

We reserve the right to terminate services if:

  • You fail to pay agreed-upon fees

  • You repeatedly cancel, reschedule, or no-show appointments

  • You fail to provide requested information or feedback after multiple requests

  • You engage in abusive, threatening, or disrespectful behavior toward our team

  • We determine we are not the right fit for your needs

If we terminate services, you will receive a prorated refund for any unused, prepaid sessions, at our sole discretion.

12. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law

Governing Law:

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Dispute Resolution:

If a dispute arises, we encourage you to contact us directly to resolve it informally. If informal resolution is not possible, you agree to submit the dispute to binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association (AAA), with the arbitration taking place in San Francisco, California.

You waive the right to participate in class action lawsuits or class-wide arbitration.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

If you do not agree to the updated terms, you may terminate services as described in Section 11.
